The Medical Valley

The Medical Valley Bayern e.V. represents the medical/medical devises technology area of competence in the Bavarian "medical technology" cluster reaching a close density in the European Metropolitan Area of Nuremberg. The MvB headquarter is located in Erlangen, where the Friedrich-Alexander University with its excellent medical and technical faculties and the global player Siemens Healthcare are also located.

In cooperation with the Forum Med Tech Pharma e.V., MvB wishes to procure and jointly utilize promotion funds to support the scientific development and the economic viability of medical technology and help to prevent health risks for residents. Creating more high-tech jobs in the area of medical technology, in the pharmaceutical industry and in the services sector  represents a significant contribution towards sustaining economic strength in Bavaria. Research and development in the field of medical technology and competence among doctors working in clinics, without which no reliable, efficient medical care is possible, are organised professionally at the MvB and passed on in numerous opportunities for professional training.
