Knowledge property

Erlangen intends to face the challenges of a knowledge-based society and to position the company so that it is economically viable. To this purpose Erlangen AG has come up with a property vision. The vision is an advancement of "fun property", from edutainment concepts through to "scientific property". The most up-to-date concepts of city region management are combined here with brand park strategies and with entrepreneurial management. The aim is to design the "knowledge property" label which is to generate higher added value for all of those involved with aspects which will pass on knowledge optimally." The external effect of branding property and companies is a targeted means of realizing revenue in the face of intensified competition. A brand is established so that it meets the sophistication of Erlangen as a location and the good position of plots of land. To emphasis all of this, high standards in quality and economic success are fundamental. Activities in the property area are flanked by the principal strategic orientation of Erlangen AG and projects already initiated. Erlangen AG wishes to establish the location of Erlangen as a "best knowledge performer" and market it internationally as a marketable monopoly position feature.
