With a population of almost 200.000, situated on the western part of the Upper Silesian Industrial Area, Gliwice is a city of culture, science and entrepreneurship. Human potential, situation at a crossroad of European motorways A1 and A4 and the biggest inland port in Poland are doubtlessly strong points of our city. Apart from that one should not forget already implemented innovative projects (“Network for an effective Commercialization of Technologies-SEKT”, “Technopark Gliwice”, “Incubator of New Technologies” and already mentioned above “Nowe Gliwice” project) that aim at supporting the development of new technologies in the city. These and many other important factors make the city being in a stage of a very intensive development, of which the best confirmation is an impressive number of foreign and domestic companies operating in the town. Membership in the World Technopolis Association is the best proof that we are a city with a potential.
