Because of the Upper Austrian strength in the field of medical as well as measurement and control technology the focus of the Health Cluster lies especially in the support and promotion of companies in the field of medical technology.

The intensivation of the cooperation of partner companies and r&d-institutions is a central duty of the network. Tyrol

The Zukunftsstiftung Tirol is the central institution of the Land Tyrol for innovation and technology support. The focus of its duty is in the development and management of clusters, the financing and accompanying of translational research centres, the initiation and support of qualification, technology transfer and location development projects and the settlement of foreign companies in Tyrol and the marketing of the research and business location Tyrol. The Cluster Life Sciences, supervised by the Zukunftsstiftung Tyrol, is a cluster initiative for the areas medical technology, biotech and pharma. Represented in tis network are research and development as well as production and distribution. Specialised service offers complete the partner portfolio.

Together with the cluster partners the Zukunftsstiftung Tyrol forces the optimum framework for the Life Science Location Tyrol in the areas of intensivation of knowledge combination and know-how transfer, creation of an international partner pool as well as the bundling of needs of the branche.
